“Donghai” Asphalt Products and Quality

Sinopec “Donghai” asphalt is one of the most influential asphalt brands rewarded the honorary name “China Famous Brand” in 2007. Strictly adhering to Technical Specification for Construction of Highway Asphalt Pavements of the Ministry of Communication and Standard of Heavy Duty road petroleum asphalt GB/T 15180, Sinopec produces nearly 50 varieties of high-quality “Donghai” asphalts, including road petroleum asphalt, SBS modified asphalt, SBR modified asphalt, emulsified asphalt, emulsified modified asphalt, color asphalt and construction asphalt. The annual production capacity of “Donghai” heavy duty road petroleum asphalt, modified asphalt and emulsified asphalt reaches 5 million tons, 1.5 million tons and 1 million tons respectively.

Heavy Duty Road Petroleum Asphalt

In line with the new road asphalt standard (JTG F40-2004), Sinopec takes the initiative to produce “Donghai” heavy duty road petroleum asphalt whose key indexes reaching or exceeding those of imported high quality heavy duty road petroleum asphalt with its good climate and heavy burden adaptability and endurance.

Modified Asphalt

“Donghai” polymer modified asphalt designed and developed in a unique way is high quality and cost effective, achieving a substantial leap in terms of modified asphalt quality. The modified asphalt passed quality verification of the Ministerial level and was rated “cutting-edge technology at home and internationally advanced product performance”.

Specialty Asphalt

Sinopec strengthens its R&D efforts and develops successively “Donghai” high-tech asphalts like cross-sea bridge asphalt, environment-friendly and fire-resisting tunnel asphalt, high-speed viscous asphalt, rubber asphalt, hardened asphalt, etc to meet diversified demands.

Emulsified Asphalt

Road emulsified asphalt, high-speed railway specialty emulsified asphalt and construction water-proof emulsified asphalt, etc.

In order to ensure high quality of “Donghai” asphalt from crude procurement to engineering application, Sinopec compiles “Sinopec Donghai Asphalt Quality Assurance System” to impose rigorous control over quality in crude procurement, asphalt production, product sales, transportation, and storage and construction application. By this way, Sinopec ensures asphalt quality throughout the whole production procedure and service quality throughout sales process. 

Application of Sinopec Donghai Asphalt in Engineering Construction

Sinopec Donghai Asphalt has made its name through product high quality, service integrity and participation in domestic high-end asphalt market competition and been widely utilized in such key infrastructure projects as domestic airport runway, high-speed road, urban thoroughfare and bridge surface, etc. To be specific, Donghai Asphalt has been successfully used in the following projects:

National key high grade roads, including Shanghai Hongqiao terminal project, the high-speed road to Beijing Capital Airport, Xilan high-speed road, Shiji high-speed road, Shaoyong high-speed road, Shaogan high-speed road, Qinglan high-speed road, Shenyu high-speed road, Ninghai section of Tongsan high-speed road, Huning high-speed road, Hexu high-speed road, Bolai high-speed road, Kingliwen high-speed road, Kunming to Shilin high-speed road, Leqing and Wenzhou section of Zhejiang Yongtaiwen high-speed road, Qinglong high-speed road of Shenzhen, Huadu airport high-speed road of Guangzhou, Zhejiang section of Zhajiasu high-speed road, Shanghai A15, A16 high-speed road, Beilun Section of Ningbo high-speed road, Hulu high-speed road, Foshan first ring express way, Zhaoqing section of 321 National Road, Luoping high-speed road, the high-speed road to Zhengzhou airport, Henan section of Daguang high-speed road and Canghuang high-speed road.

Urban roads including Beijing Chang’an avenue, Shanghai Century Thoroughfare, Shanghai Putong thoroughfare, Nanning ethnic thoroughfare, Hangzhou Hupo road, Hangzhou Nanshan road, Zhuhai to Jiuzhou thoroughfare and Chongqing Yingbin thoroughfare, etc.

Bridge surface pavements: Shanghai Yangtz river tunnel bridge, Hangzhou Fuxing overpass, Hangzhou Zhonghe overpass, Qianjiang No.3 Bridge of Hangzhou, Longyinqiao Bridge and Jiefangqiao Bridge of Guilin and Shanghai Donghai Bridge, etc.

Airport runways: Guangzhou Baiyun Airport and Huadu Airport, Guilin Airport, a military airport in Zhanjiang and Hongqiao Airport.

Racetracks: Shanghai Formula 1 racetrack, Beijing A1 World Cup Formula racetrack, Shenzhen Qinglong high-speed bicycle racetrack, etc.

National high-speed railway: Jinghu high-speed railwayHada high-speed railway, Huning high-speed railway, Shitai high-speed railway, pilot section for Wuguang high-speed railway, etc.

Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Main Track and Field Stadium- the National Stadium Racetrack, the main route to the front door of China Pavilion in 2010 World Expo.

Donghai asphalt has reached internationally advanced level and won accreditation of certain authority agencies after its successful application in Shanghai F1 racetrack, the racetrack of National Stadium-the Beijing Olympiad main venue, National high-speed railway projects and the main route to the front door of China Pavilion in 2010 World Expo.
