Sinopec’s subsidiaries carried out the Guidance on Establishing and Improving Workers’ Congress Regime in Companies and Public Institutions in real earnest by adopting an open manner in dealing with enterprise affairs, taking into unified consideration of democratic management, key issues that matters the big picture, hotly debated difficulties that concern workers’ interests, and issues related to production, operation, personnel management and income distribution. In this way the company expanded channels for democratic management and oversight to make management decisions in a scientific, disciplined and orderly manner.
In line with the principle of “Offering tangible help to those in real need”, Sinopec stepped up aid to those in need of help and attended to workers in difficulties to let them share the company’s growth results. The company upheld the philosophy of putting people first to improve work environment, meals, health checkups, recuperation and holiday for more sense of loyalty and cohesion.

In 2009, the company hosted such activities as photography exhibition in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the PRC, the 2nd art performance competition for employees, 3vs3 half-court basketball match and the 3rd gate ball, bridge card match and swimming contest for employees, the 4th English show contest for young employees and the “sing for the motherland” singing contest, etc.
