The Company has been effectively meeting the demand for green petrochemicals and taking part in programmes of public interest since teaming up with Beijing Olympics.

In August 2007, Sinopec Great Wall Lubricant initiated the 'Great Wall Lubricant Driving 2008' event together with Beijing TV Station's 'Traffic Lights' Programme and China National Radio's 'Metropolitan Voice', which called for driving politeness and culture. The event was supported by Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2008 Olympic Games, Beijing Traffic Management Bureau and Capital Cultural Office, and won wide applause from the public.

Managing the traffic was a challenge for all past Olympic Games organizers. Tens of thousands of athletes and foreign reporters will gather in Beijing during the Olympic Games, adding to a forecasted several million Chinese and foreign tourists. As a result, the soft environment of traffic management in Beijing should be emphasized along with the improvement in infrastructure and traffic operation.

The campaign 'Driving 2008' aims at promoting driving culture and pleasure of abiding by traffic rules within the drivers, hence enhanced traffic order. One beautiful sticker on the car shows the driver's commitment to be a polite driver and entitles the driver a chance to win RMB200 fuel card and RMB300 auto care service.

Since the launching of the campaign in September 2007, a total of 500,000 vehicles have taken part in the campaign. Entertainment stars, such as Feng Xiaogang and Huang Xiaoming, put the stickers on their cars to advocate for polite driving behaviour, contributing to an improved traffic in the city.

In January 2008, the organizers of the campaign jointly initiated 'Driving 2008-Driving Culture Commitment', calling for wider participation in the campaign by car owners in Beijing, and sustained efforts for better traffic.

As a supplement to traffic rules and regulations, 'Driving 2008' promotes self-regulation from a moral perspective and betters one's driving habit, which will have a positive impact on the city's traffic and the goals of building a harmonious society and successful Olympics.
