SINOPEC Shijiazhuang Refining & Chemical company is located at 25 kilometers southeast of Shijiazhuang, the capital city of Hebei Province. Its predecessor is Shijiazhuang Oil Refinery which was founded in 1978. Shijiazhuang Refining & Chemical Co., Ltd. was collected and set up through assets reallocation with the mode of part reformation, and invested the collected capital to the Annual 50,000 tons caprolactam Plant of Shijiazhuang Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. To carry out the integration strategy, Shijiazhuang Oil Refinery was cancelled in 2006 , and SINOPEC Assets Management Co., LTD Shijiazhuang branch was registered, In 2007, because of the system transformation , SINOPEC Shijiazhuang Refining & Chemical Company(shorted for SRCC) was registered. In May 2009, according to the headquarters deployment, “one enterprise with one system” integration was carried out, the overall Shijiazhuang Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd and part of asset and personnel of SINOPEC Assets Management Co., LTD Shijiazhuang branch merges into Shijiazhuang Refining & Chemical company.
In May 2010, SINOPEC Shijiazhuang Refining & Chemical company oil quality upgrade project is fully launched, this project is the key construction projects, which is included in the national “petrochemical industry adjust and revitalization plan”, is the strategic cooperation project between SINOPEC and hebei province, environment friendly all hydrogenation process have been adopted in the project , the quality of products will reach above GⅢ standard, and it will be completed and put into operation in 2013.
At present, SRCC has the comprehensive capacity of processing 4.2 million tons crude oil per year with 22 processing units. Such as, annul 5 million tons Atmospheric and Vacuum Distillation Unit, annul 2 million tons Catalytic Cracking Units, annul 0.8 million tons Delayed Coking Unit and etc. After a series of renovation, caprolactam production reaches to 160 thousands per year and polyamide 25 thousand tons per year . The main products are: gasoline for automobiles, diesel oil, aviation kerosene, LPG, polypropylene, caprolactam, ammonium sulfate , polyamide , benzaldehyde and etc. altogether more than 30 kinds of products.
