Sinopec Catalyst Company (SCC) was established in Beijing on December 29, 2004. It is an integrated special company that endeavors to commercialize the most advanced technology achievements, to optimize the production management, and to promote high quality technical service. It holds the responsibility for unification of the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, the production management for all its subsidiary companies, the marketing and sales, the development strategy and planning, and the management policy and implementation.

The manufacturing facilities and bases of SCC are mainly located in Beijing, Shanghai, Hunan, Shandong£¬Liaoning and Jiangsu.  It has seven wholly owned subsidiary companies, which are Changling, Qilu, Beijing Auda, Beijing Yanshan£¬Shanghai£¬ Fushun£¬ Nanjing, and Sinopec Supplies & Equipment Precious Metals Co. Ltd., and two holding subsidiaries, which are Hunan Jianchang Company and Shanghai Leader Company.

SCC is the biggest manufacturer and supplier of petroleum and chemical catalysts in China. Its product lines cover FCC catalysts and additives, hydrorefining catalysts,  hydrocracking catalysts, residual oil hydrogenation catalysts, reforming catalysts, ethylene polymerization catalysts, propylene polymerization catalysts, isomerization catalysts, catalyst for toluene disproportionation and transalkylation, ethyl benzene dehydrogenation catalysts, acrylonitrile catalysts, PTA catalysts, catalysts for one-stage hydrogenation of cracking gasoline, paraxylene adsorbents and silver catalysts . While meeting the demand of the domestic market, SCC also has been exploring and developing the international markets in a broad range from Asia to Europe and to Africa.
