SINOPEC Beihai Company was built in May 1989. Its former name was Beihai Petroleum & Chemical Factory, and it had been in the charge of local government before February 1993. And now it’s a wholly owned subsidiary of SINOPEC.

Beihai Branch is located in the southwest of Beihai City of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, facing Beibuwan Gulf and to the Beihai Port for 2km. Beihai Branch occupies an area of 0.472 square kilometer.

Beihai Branch is a petro-chemical enterprise manufacturing fuel, and the design crude capacity of which is 60×104t/a. The company now has two processing sections including crude distillation unit, fluid catalytic cracking unit, and has three assistant workshops including oil-gas deposited zone, water-supply-drain, and petrochemical laboratory. The capacity of major processing facilities are: crude distillation unit 60×104t/a, fluid catalytic cracking unit 34×104t/a, and catalytic gas desulphurization unit 8×104t/a.. The main units are under the control of DCS computer system. Beihai branch was equipped with one crude and oil wharf with two berths and one railway for special use, the establishments for storage and transportation, environmental protection are fully facilitated. The dry gas of refinery is recovered and piped to the town for the residents’ daily use by Beihai City Piping Gas Co., Ltd. In 1999, Beihai branch was honored the title of “clean production enterprise” by SINOPEC. After that, the branch was awarded the certificate for perfecting the system of Inspection Measure and test by CSBTS in May 1999. In December 2000, the branch was accredited with ISO9000. And in December 2003, it was accredited with ISO9001-2000.
