Sinopec Cangzhou Company (for short call Cangzhou Refinery ) is a large-scale petrochemical refinery under the direct leadership of the SINOPEC. Cangzhou Refinery is located in the northern suburb of the Cangzhou city . It's area is about 180 hektare . Cangzhou Oil Refinery was set up in April 1971 and put into operation in Oct.1975. In Jan. 2000, according to the unified arranging of  SINOPEC£¬its assets have been recombined into two parts. One part is on sale part was come into stock market named Cangzhou Company Ltd SINOPEC; another part is remained part named Cangzhou Oil Refinery SINOPEC. The on sale part Cangzhou Company Ltd SINOPEC as a filiale of SINOPEC has come into New York, London, Hongkong and China stock market.

At the end of 2005, the Cangzhou Refinery total capital was 2.5 billion RMB. The primary capability of processing crude oil is 3.5 million tons per year.  The main units of Cangzhou Refinery are as follows: The 3.5 million tons per year Atmospheric and Vacuum Distillation Units, the 1.2 million tons per year Heavy Oil Catalytic Cracking Unit, the 0.5 million tons per year Delayed-coking Unit , the 0.8 million tons per year Gasoline and Diesel Hydro-treating Units, the 0.2 million tons per year Asphalt Unit, the 0.15 million tons per year Catalytic Reforming Unit,  the 0.2 million tons per year Gas Fractionation Unit and other accessorial units such as steam boiler, power generator, fresh water suply field, sewage water processing, oil transport and storage establishment. 

The main products of the Cangzhou Refinery are as follows: 93#/97#/98# clean gasoline, diesel oil, naphtha, petroleum coke, asphalt, sulfur, 200# solvent oil, aluminum foil rolling oil, PP, LPG for vehicle, DMS, etc. Especially, the hight quality clean gasoline has satisfied the Europe-II vehicle emission gas control standard.

At the end of year 2005, the staff of Cangzhou Refinery is 2287 people, thereinto, 1114 people in the on sale part, 1173 people in the remained part. There are 794 people college educated, 216 peole primary degree technical titled, 330 peole intermediate degree technical titled, 131 people advanced degree technical titled, 1 people professor degree technical titled.

On 2005, Cangzhou Refinery had processed 3.02 million tons crode oil, and the main deal earning was 10.2 billion RMB.  In 2006, we plan process over 3 million tons crode oil and the main deal earning be over 10 billion RMB.

Cangzhou Refinery has continuously listed in China top 500 super enterprises for 9 years. It is advanced enterprise and important protected enterprise of Hebei Province. In the National Bureau of Statistics of China published China large-scale industry enterprises list , in 2002, Cangzhou Refinery was listed at number 198;  in 2003,  Cangzhou Refinery was listed at number 227. In 2004, Cangzhou Refinery was awarded  advanced enterprise for environment protection by Hebei Prov. Environmental Protection Administration.
