SINOPEC Wuhan Company was founded on Feb 28th, 2000 during the restructuring of SINOPEC Wuhan Petrochemical Works, mainly engaged in petrochemical processing and some petrochemicals production.

SINOPEC Wuhan Company is located in Wuhan city, Hubei province which is reputed as "Thoroughfare to Nine Provinces". It is against Yangtze River in the north and adjacent to Wuhan Iron and steel Group Corporation in the south, enjoying advantages of geographical environment. And it is very convenient for transportation and communication.

SINOPEC Wuhan Company is a petrochemical enterprise which mainly produces fuel oil. It

has a primary crude processing capacity of 5 million tons per year. It ranks in Top 500 Industrial Enterprises in China. Quality guaranty system of products is approved by  ISO9000 International Quality System. The predecessor of Wuhan Company is Wuhan Petrochemical Works which was founded in 1971, extended in 1975 and put into production in 1977. At present there are 14 sets of production units which have been put into production.

Residual Oil Catalytic Cracking Unit of 1 million tons per year
HF Alkylation Unit 60 thousand tons per year
MTBE Unit of 60 thousand tons per year
Sulphur Recovery Unit of 5 thousand tons per year
Sulphur Recovery Unit of 7.5 thousand tons per year
Naphthenic Acid of 1 thousand tons per year
Combination Plant of 12 thousand Nm3/hr Hydrogen Production Unit and 0.6 million tons per year Hydrogenation Unit
Delayed Coking Unit of 1 million tons per year

Combination Plant of 0.3 million tons per year Catalytic Reformer and 0.8 million tons per year Hydrogenation Refining Unit 

Gas Separation unit of 0.1 million tons per year
