SINOPEC Jiujiang Company is located in a cultural city with a long history over 2000 years in China——Jiujiang in Jiangxi. Its predecessor is Jiujiang Oil Refinery which was approved for construction by the Government in 1975,and was put into operation in October of 1980. Jiujiang Petrochemical Complex was renamed in 1991. In accordance with the requirement of SINOPEC Corp. reforming and reorganizing, jiujiang Company was established and derived from Jiujiang Petrochemical Complex in 2000.
Jiujiang Company is on the northern bank of the Yangtze River, to the south of Mountain Lushan and to the east of Poyang Lake. And It has excellent geographic advantage and therefore has convenient transportation facilities. The Company has annual capacity of processing 6.5 million tons crude oil, producing 0.1 million tons of PP, 0.3 million tons of ammonia and 0.52 million tons of urea. There are more than sixty chemical units included Atmospheric and vacuum distillation, FCC, catalytic reforming,PP,ammonia,urea etc. It has the facilities of storage,water,electricity,steam,air,and sewage disposal system,etc. The main products of 43 varieties and 60 brands include gasoline, kerosene, diesel oil, asphalt naphtha, LPG，PP , urea etc. It got certification of ISO9002 international quality certification system in 1999;HSE management system went into operation in 2002;and got certification of ISO9001:2000 international quality certification conversion system in 2003. The highly integrated management system went into operation in 2008,which is composed of six national quality standard systems (quality,environment,professional healthy protection,metering, standardization and working with hazardous articles) and four SINOPEC standard systems(HSE,internal controll,three basic works and ERP). It makes the management more effective.
After many year’s construction, Jiujiang Company has got a highly evaluation of work in the product quality, environment protection and safe operation. The quality of main products has reached a standard as high as international ones. The product of urea was titled National Non-inspection Product. Lead-free vehicle gasoline,high quality lead-free gasoline,PP, LPG are the Jiangxi provincial famous brand product, light diesel is one of the key-point protected product in Jiangxi , Some kinds of the pruducts were ever exported to Japan,Vietnan,United States,HongKong and other countries and areas. The Company got the title of “National May1 Working Award”, “National advanced environment protection unit” and “National advanced green-making unit” etc.
In the future, Jiujiang Company will insist on the development strategy of “To promote refining,To optimize fertilizer,To develop chemical” .Through the union of every staff and their best work,it also will enhance the internal management and try the best in tapping the potential of production and increasing profit and in the construction of more competitive petrochemical enterprise.
