China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation Changling Company (hereinafter called Changling Company) is located in Yueyang city, Hunan province, at the bank of the Dongting Lake near the Yangtze River, in the south runs the Beijing-Guangzhou railway and neighbors upon the 107th national highway and Beijing-Zhuhai highway,  the traffic is quite convenient for land and water communication. It is a large-scale petrochemical enterprise for China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation in Middle China which has also shared majority ready markets for petrochemical products in Hunan, Hubei, Guangxi, Guangdong, Yunnan, Guizhou and Shichuan provinces.

At present, Changling Company has 21 sets of petrochemical processing units consisting of two ADV, two FCC , one Delayed Coking, one Catalytic Reforming, one Hydrogenation, one Hydro-treatment  and two Polypropylene (PP) units. It has the annual crude oil processing capacity of 5 million tons, the annual capacity of PP unit and Delayed Coking unit is 100,000 tons and 1.2 million tons respectively, while the processing capacity of RFCC unit has been enhanced to 2.2 million t/a, and CCR unit been revamped to 500,000 t/a, Sewage treatment unit capacity reaches 1000 t/h. It mainly covers more than 60 kinds of products mainly including gasoline, diesel, naphtha, BTX, LPG, solvents, sulfuric acid and PP . 17 kinds of products were entitled with the provincial or ministerial high quality products, among them, both the exported superior light diesel and 6# extraction solvent naphtha have won the National Gold Medal Prize, while some other products such as benzene, xylene and 120# solvent naphtha , etc, have won the National Silver Medal Prize and awarded the National Quality Management Medal Prize twice. Changling Company is one of the first lot enterprises ranked “the National First Class Enterprise” title, and smoothly approved the certificate authority of quality assurance system of ISO 9001:2000 in 2002. With the Enterprise Resource Plan (ERP) system successfully put into operation in Changling Company in 2003, the enterprise business management level has been boosted rapidly.

Changling Company always persists in seeking development by technological progress and has formed its own advanced technological features and perfect sales services. At present, petrochemical processing units have formed a certain scale with a complete of technology system and flexible process ways, Changling Company has accumulated rich experience for residue deep processing and realized good integration of petroleum refining and chemical processing. Changling Company has developed a series of national up-to-date oil refining technologies, such as low temperature power station, gas oil recovery, air-tight oil products loading and one tower sewage stripping. The first set of domestic PP unit has been built which utilizes the loop reactor polymerization technology. We always pay much attention to improve traditional business with information technology, and gained significant effects on research and application of CIMS, PIMS and APC technologies.

In 2005, Changling Company staffs are active in carrying out the new concept of responsibility, making concerted efforts in their work with holding the key factor. They tried to master both market and profit. It has processed feed oil of 4,470,000 tons. Economy have been resulted in sales revenue of RMB 14.18 billion yuan, pre-taxed profit of RMB0.4 billion yuan and profit losses of RMB42 thousand yuan.
