SINOPEC Shanghai Gaoqiao Branch (hereinafter referred to as Gaoqiao Branch) is located in Shanghai Pudong New District, facing Huangpu River to the west and near Wusong Mouth to the north, thus enjoying both land and water transportation convenience and being an important production and export base of China’s petroleum and petrochemical industry. Occupying an area of 3.4 million square meters, Gaoqiao Branch has a crude processing capacity of 11.3 million tons per year, and is the only petroleum & petrochemical enterprise capable of producing lube oil and wax products in east China. The petrochemical section of Gaoqiao Branch currently can produce series of products including synthetic rubbers, phenol, acetone, ABS resin etc.  In 2007, the sales revenue of the Branch reached 38.7 billion RMBY, and the Branch owned 12.7 billion RMBY of fixed assets. The Branch has 64 production units in total, the main plants are named as following:

Gaoqiao Branch is urging to effective development and promoting the construction of CAOJING new area and GAOQIAO old area, and making great efforts in scientific and technology innovations. More than 100 research & study achievements have been awarded with prizes for science & technology progress and/or new products by state, Shanghai Municipality or SINOPEC. The products manufactured in compliance with international standards or advanced foreign standards account for 65% of regular produced brands.
