SINOPEC, Zhongyuan oilfield subsidiary company (hereinafter called zhongyuan oilfield) is an important base of oil and gas production in the east China. The oil region stretches across Henan, Shandong two province 6 city and 12 counties (area) . The main exploration & development area is Dongpu depression and Sichuan northeast Puguang gas field.
By the end of 2008, the accumulative proved oil bearing area is 455.35 km2, gas bearing area is 149.07 km2. Proved oil geologic reserves are 567 million tons, and condensate geologic reserves are 7.9738 million tons. Proved gas geologic reserves of gas reservoir are 61.577 billion m3, and solution gas geologic reserves are 69.201 billion m3. The producing geological reserves of oil are 531 million tons, the producing geologic reserves of gas are 106.1 billion m3, and the accumulative produced crude oil and natural gas is 150.5 million tons, 39.653 billion m3 respectively. In 2008, the incremental proved oil and gas geologic reserves are 12.22 million tons, the oil output is 3003 thousand tons, the gas output is 1.06 billion m3. The crude oil produced mainly is transported to Luoyang petroleum & chemical plant. Natural gas produced is used as important industrial/civilian material or fuel, mainly is supplied for more than 20 state-owned corporations and some villages and towns as industrial material, and supplied for more than 14 cities like Zhengzhou, Kaifeng, Jinan etc. as civilian fuel.
In recent years, the oil field adjusted the exploration mentality positively, the old area takes increasing the high quality reserves as the goal, the newly developed area takes discovering and the breakthrough as a key point. They have implemented project management, have taken exploration and development as a whole in operation, have emphasized the accurateness and profit during exploration,so that has formed the good working mechanism . Continuously three year every year Zhongyuan oilfield has increased the proving petroleum geological reserves above 10 million tons, has increased natural gas geological reserves above 1 billion m3 . The exploration success ratio has increased from 47% to 63%, the producing reserves ratio has increased from 54% to 90% , so the oil-gas exploration quality and the benefit enhance steady . Regarding enhancing the producing reserves degree and the recovery ratio, the managers comprehensively promote reservoir management and operation. They have taken progressive reservoir appraisal and productivity construction as a whole in operation, have strengthened fine adjustment of the oil and gas reservoir. Through strengthened research, fine injection, fine tapping latent potentialities, the productivity of new areas and condition of old areas have improved a lot.Natural decline rate in Zhongyuan oilfield has decreased from 23.7% to 17.2% , reserves replacement rate has increased from 77% to 100% , The composite water cut and the reservoir pressure maintain stable, the recoverable reserves growth with stability, the stable production foundation strengthens, the development condition is being progressive improvement, the oil & gas principal work maintains continuous and effective development.
In 2005, Sinopec gave Sichuan northeast Puguang gas field to Zhongyuan oilfield to exploit and construct. For four years, in accordance with the “the whole deployment, the necessary construction, the security environmental protection and efficiency priority” principle, the oil field has established the management system and operation mechanism with characteristics of “the unification organization, the unification administration , the unification coordinated, the unification command”, has established the complete development production necessary plan, has provided the safeguard for highly effective development under the security and environmental protection .Now, the natural gas field development program is optimized unceasingly, the well drilling construction highly effectively carries out, the ground project carries out steady, emergency rescue ability strengthens continually . In 2009, Puguang gas field will have the productivity of natural gas 10 billion m3 /y.
Zhongyuan oilfield is one of the most complicated fault-block oilfield. The structure is fractured, and oil and gas reservoir is buried deeply, this oilfield has characteristics of low permeability, high temperature, high pressure and high salt, so its exploration and development can be world-class puzzle. In “the 10th five-year plan” period, Sinopec organized a three-year plan of science and technology research on key problems. The company has obtained 2 achievements exceeded international level, 17 achievements reached international level, 21 achievements reached our national level, and 21 items of technology gained the national patent, those formed integrated matching technology with zhongyuan oilfield characteristics. In 2008, the oil field expanded the science and technology input, confirmed scientific research strength, strengthened project management, solved the bottleneck difficult problem , undertook 5 state scientific researches, undertook 19 SINOPEC scientific researches,has completed the scientific researches according to the plan, in development key technologies of the high-sulphur gas field, the fine exploration technology, the adjustment and development potential productivity technology of the old oil field, the petroleum engineering technology, the energy conservation and reduction consumption aspects and so on technology has made the positive progress and the important achievement, has provided the technical support for increasing oil and gas reserves and production.
In 2009, whole personnel of Zhongyuan oilfield will deeply study and put the science development view into practiceŁ¬carry out all the work plan of Sinopec seriously, implements the resources, technical, the market, the talented person and the internationalization strategy vigorously, innovates working mechanism, implements fine management, strengthens security environmental protection, transforms development way, realizes the Dongpu old area steady progression, maintains the Puguang gas field development with safe and highly effective, continuously and effectively advances the harmonious development of oil fields.
