SINOPEC Shengli Oilfield Company (hereinafter referred as Shengli Oilfield Company) is located in DongYing, which lies by the downstream of the Yellow River. Its working areas cover 8 cities and 28 counties, including Dongying, Binzhou, Dezhou in Shandong province, Junggar, Tuha, Tacheng of XinJiang Uygur Autonomous Region as well as Qaidam of QingHai and Dunhuang in GanSu province.
Shengli Oilfield Company puts priority on “Resource Strategy” all the time and persists in the reinforcement of oil-gas exploration and development, thus laying a steady foundation for “consecutively” strong points. Since the last 90’s, Shengli Oilfield Company has carried out resource extension strategies and realized the stride from land to offshore, inland to outland, domestic to international, thus enhancing its development potential remarkably. After 50 years’ construction of exploration and development, the exploration area of Shengli Oilfield Company has increased to 194,000 square kilometers, it has 14.5 billion tons of oil resource and 2418.5 billion cubic meters of gas; the field’s accumulative proven OIP and GIP amount to 5.066 billion tons and 238.3 billion cubic meters respectively, and its accumulative oil and gas production is 0.99 billion tons and 44.37 billion cubic meters respectively; The newly increased proved reserves of oil have maintained at over 100 million tons for 28 years and an annual oil production sets at more than 27 million tons for 15 consecutive years, moreover, the field has achieved development-reserve balance for 14 years, and all these have made great contribution to the company’s strategy of “steady production of the eastern part and fast development of the western part”. Shengli Oilfield Company made great achievements in 2010, which includes: newly increased proven OIP reached 112 million tons, controlled reserves and predicted reserves were 100 million and 143 million tons respectively, produced oil was 27.34 million tons and natural gas was 508 million cubic meters, processed oil was currently 1.7224 million tons, which successfully achieved the yearly production goal.
Shengli Oilfield Company sticks to the strategy of ‘Thrive Oilfield by Technologies’, creating a series of theories, core and proprietary technologies and auxiliary technologies. The ratio of technology contribution is up to 63.6%. As far as exploration is concerned, in terms of composite oil and gas accumulation zone in the Bohai bay basin, concealed oil & gas reverses in continental fault subsidence basin and buried hill diversity of fault subsidence basin, the theories of geological exploration were formed, and these successfully ensured efficient and sustainable relay of the oil resource. As to the field development, the foundational theory system including continental water driven remaining oil enrichment, aggregation adduction synergistic effect and low permeability oil reverse development was brought forward so as to guarantee sustainable development of oil production. In the realm of technologies, after years of research, Shengli Oilfield Company has formed ten proprietary technical sequences which include subtle reservoirs exploration and geophysical exploration techniques, and are in the van of domestic industries and give a powerful support to the exploration and development of the Oilfield. Relying on advancements in technology, the field’s newly proved reserves were up to 227 million tons, the newly recoverable reserves received an increment of 69.25 million tons, and the newly increased production of oil amounted to 16.86 million tons during the “Eleventh Five Year Plan”. In the meantime, a team of professional technical force was cultivated and built up, which includes five key research institutes and 3,500 researchers.
As the first year of “the Twelfth-Five Year Plan”, in 2011, Shengli Oilfield Company will quicken the step of developmental method conversion, make all efforts to improve the quality of development, elaborately organize oil and gas production, increase the incoming and cut down the expenditure. Furthermore, it will also explore its potential and try to further increase efficiency, continuously enhance the living conditions of the staff, enforce the party and staff troop construction, thus making a good preparation for future work at the new starting point and contributing to national economical and community development.
