Sinopec Yunnan Oil Products Company (YOPC), which was an integrated company with business scope ranging from storage, distribution and sale of oil products including petroleum, lubricant, fuel oil etc, was the main supplier located in beautiful southwest of China, served as the direct subsidiary of Sinopec in Yunnan Province.

YOPC was initially established in July 1952. Having made great contribution to economic development in era of Planed Economy in minority areas, YOPC was merged into China Petroleum & Chemical Group Corporation in June 1998 and the main part was turned into Sinopec Yunnan Oil Products Company in March 2000. With generations of hard work for decades, YOPC , with the total assets of RMB 4509 billion, was developed into a large state-owned enterprise owning 13 depots (a total capacity of 345600 cubic meters) and more than 1100 service stations. Due to the increased profitability and competitive edge, not only did YOPC spread its branches all over the whole province, but also in neighbouring province and overseas.

By sticking to the business philosophy of Competitiveness, Openness, Standardization and Integrity, YOPC endeavoured itself to the highest point in terms of sales in 2007. On one hand, the company made efforts to exploit the market and increase the sales by taking the priority of Market, Sales and Profit when the sources of oil products are surplus. On the other hand, the company made efforts to ensure supply by    taking the responsibilities of economy, society and politics when the sources of oil products are limited. By doing so, not only did it develop humorously and efficiently, but also established good reputation and was praised by local government in 2007.

Along with the united efforts of whole employees, YOPC enforced its base for development and made a lot of progresses including deepening reform to increase the service standard by attaching great importance to customer-orientation, offering more comfortable and convenient environment for customers by restructuring service stations, optimizing the network system by taking the opportunities of buying service stations especially in highways, enforcing scientific management by carrying out Internal Control System strictly, maintaining the employees by improving the conditions of living and establishing harmonious internal and external environment for company by persisting full communication.
