Sinopec Yunnan Oil Products Company (YOPC), the direct subsidiary of Sinopec and the most powerful sales enterprise of finished oil products in Yunnan Province, is in charge of the retail, direct marketing and wholesale of petroleum, diesel oil, lubricant and other petrochemical products.

YOPC developed from the Yunnan Head Office of Oil which was established in July 1952. In June 1998 the Head Office was merged into China Petroleum & Chemical Group Corporation, the main part of which, in February 2000, developed into Sinopec Yunnan Oil Products Company to meet the requirement of the separation of the main and the subsidiary company and the enterprise re-organization for stock market.

YOPC boasts of its ever-increasing sales amount, steady increase in profits, striking improvement of the assets quality, remarkable rise in competition. YOPC is now running 13 depots (a total capacity of 343400 cubic meters) and more than 1100 service stations ad its total assets amounts to RMB 5.5 billion.

YOPC adheres to the business philosophy of Competitiveness, Openness, Standardization and Integrity and has successfully adapted to the complicated markets and fierce competition. As a state-owned enterprise, in 2008, YOPC faithfully assumed its economic, social and political responsibility in promoting the development and stability of the local economy. When the snow disaster and the May 12 Earthquake stroke, the Company spared no efforts in providing service. Bearing in mind Market, Sales and Profit First, Elaborate Management and Meticulous Administration, YOPC actively pushed forward the reformation, hoping for an outstanding increase in market-controlling, competition and profit. The annual sales of finished oil ran up to 400 million tons, and compared to the same period of the previous year, it realized an increase of 19.6 percent and covered 67 percent of the market.

In 2009, YOPC will keep on carrying out Deng Xiaoping’s Theory and the thougut of Three Represents, further the study of Outlook of Practice, act on Two Guarantees, Three Stables and One Increase. In order to fulfil the target of 2009, the Company will hold and explore the market, expand the sales, improve the service quality, better the operation network, deepen the reformation, reduce expense and motivate the staff.
