Sinopec Yunnan Oil Products Company (YOPC), the direct subsidiary of Sinopec and the most powerful sales enterprise of finished oil products in Yunnan Province, is in charge of the retail, direct marketing and wholesale of petroleum, diesel oil, lubricant, other petrochemical products and non-oil business.

YOPC developed from the Yunnan Head Office of Oil which was established in July 1952. In June 1998 the Head Office was merged into China Petroleum & Chemical Group Corporation, the main part of which, in February 2000, developed into Sinopec Yunnan Oil Products Company to meet the requirement of the separation of the main and the subsidiary company and the enterprise re-organization for stock market.
YOPC, after being a part of China Petroleum & Chemical Group Corporation, boasts of its ever-increasing sales amount, steady increase in profits, striking improvement of the assets quality, remarkable rise in competition due to the correct leadership from Sinopec Corp. Owning 17 subordinate companies, 5 special centers, YOPC is now running 13 depots and more than 1100 service stations ad its total assets amounts to RMB 9 billion and workforce to ten thousand. Being located in the frontier, YOPC has always made positive contribution to local economy during the past 50 years. 

In 2010, under the context of tough market conditions and complicated situation, YOPC carefully implemented the requirement of Two Guarantees, Three Stables and Two Increase by holding on Six Priority (Optimizing Network, Expanding Sales, Strengthening Human Resources, Elaborating Management, Taking Care of Staff, and Establishing Coordination) and Ten-year Programme.
By pursuing excellence and striving to be the first, YOPC successfully made historical breakthrough with the annual sales of 5 million tons and rapid growth in non-oil business, which was a fitting finale to the“11th Five-Year Plan”. Being regarded as large scale state-owned enterprise, YOPC effectively undertook its economic, and social responsibility by persistently ensuring oil-supply when the drought took place, and demonstrated its brand image of Sinopec.
