Sinopec Hubei Oil Products Company (hereafter referred to as HOPC ) lies in Wuhan, Hubei, which is the main enterprises in Hubei ready made oil products. The market occupation rate inside Hubei province is about 80%. It is engaged in petroleum, natural gas, ready made oil sale, stock and transportation; the sale, stock and transportation of petroleum & chemical, chemical fiber and other chemical products as well as research, development, and the application of the technology and information ,etc.

HOPC has 12 state branches and 72 district business departments and it was entrusted by Chinese Petrochemical Company, which exercises holding shareholder's power to Wuhan Petroleum (Group) Co. Ltd (the listed company in Shenzhen Stock Exchange ). Its total assets is more than 5 billion yuan now with more than 100 oil houses and the total capacity is more than 1,400,000 cubic meters, among them running oil house is more than 40 and the total capacity is more than 600,000 cubic meters, more than 1,500 gas stations, the ready made oil pipeline is nearly 100 kilometers, the railway trestle is more than 3,600 meters, nearly 500 goods yards and 30 special wharves. A store-sale-transport network, which is rationally distributed, well equipped, multiple functional, solid technology and outstanding reputation spreads all over the urban and rural areas of Hubei province.

The whole year of 2004 is a year that every item is breaking through and every economic indicator has realized the historical leap. The ready made oil sales volume creates the new peaks of 3,540,000 tons in Hubei province, which has increased by 17.6%; The sales of fuel oil and lubricating oil reaches up to 384,000 tons, which has increased by 11% compared with 2003; Realize 3,270,000 terminal station sales, and terminal station sales proportion reaches from 89.5 to 92.5 in 2003, which rises by 4 %; The station sales volume rises to 1,559 tons from 1,295 tons in 2003, which increases by 23. 5%. The net building also speeds up, 104 newly-built gas stations, purchases 35 station and 40 stations are being built at present. Meanwhile, having quickened the steps of establishing IC card and 716 gas stations net stations are running. In order to push the company reform to move forward steadily, all the county companies have been shut off. In 2004, the whole province has handled non-performing assets 446 million yuan, finish 18 reforming projects, and lays off personnel 892 through many channels.
