Sinopec Henan Oil Products Company (HNPC in abbreviation) is a petroleum sales branch of Sinopec Corp. in Henan Province. Its main businesses include: wholesale of gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, and lubricating oil; research, development and application of technology related information in petroleum. The headquarter of HNPC is located at 10 Weisheng Road in Zhengzhou City of Henan province. HNPC is the main channel of supplying oil products in Henan province. HNPC supply 70% of all the oil products in Henan provice with the storage capacity of more than 1 million tons.

The HNPC supplies mostly petroleum fuel for production and living in agricultural, industrial and other areas inner Henan province. Under the leading and support of Sinopec Corp. and local government and through striving of staff, the HNPC, as a main oil distributor, satisfies the supply of petroleum fuel and keeps fuel market stable in this area, which makes great contributions to economical development of Henan province.

In terms of the requirements of Sinopec Corp., two documents of  "Management Business Accounting"  and  "Implementary Detailed Rules for Unite Petroleum Distributing and Unite Business Accounting"  were drawn, oil business of every subordinate company was managed according to "Five Unifications", and their income and payout were treated by two separated lines. Through reinforcing to control petroleum resource, to plan as a whole and attemper for business capital, to improve the rule of target check, to strict financial system, and to shorten business fee, the HNPC has ensured petroleum resource as well as company's profit. The HNPC's total capital amount reached 3.95 billion Yuan, till the end of 2003. The HNPC sold finished petroleum fuel 3.13 million tons and retailed 0.94 billion Yuan. Up to now, the HNPC owns 32 oil storages with the oil capacity of 1.03 million m3, 53 railway tank wagons, 312 tank vehicles, and 82 discharging positions of railway tank wagon.

In past two years, the HNPC has been taking measures to construct oil’s retail network, speeding up purchasing, building and rebuilding gas stations, especially in central cities, along national roads, provincial roads and highways inside Henan province. Amounts of gas stations of the HNPC rushed to 1,640 in June, 2003. According to Sinopec Corp’s requirements, image of 1509 gas stations had been united at the end of the year of 2003. And then a new fresh image of Sinopec Corp. has been shown up inside Henan province.

The HNPC pays an important attention to develop information technology. According to the unite project of the Sinopec Corp., four-grade management network of sales information has been completed for county, city, province and Sinopec Corp., and inner network system has also been built in some city oil companies for their sales and handling official business automatically. In terms of application of science and technology, auto oil dispensing system has been adopted in every city oil company, which is a good base of modern management for oil depots.
