SINOPEC Fujian Oil Products Company (hereinafter abbreviated as "the Company"), a provincial level oil products marketing company wholly owned by Sinopec Corp., is the largest processed oil products marketing company in Fujian Province, mainly handling the supply of processed oil products in Fujian market. It was established in 1952 and was formerly Fujian General Petroleum Company and was transferred to China Petrochemical Group Company in July 1998 and restructured to be a subsidiary of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation in March 2000.

During the past 50 years since its establishment, the Company has continuously strengthened its infrastructure construction and developed a marketing network over the cities and villages, national highways, provincial highways, expressway and harbors in Fujian Province, forming an integral "storage, transportation and marketing" network covering the whole province. Until the end of 2006, the Company is possessing and operating over 800 service stations and more than 20 terminals and has a leading position in the processed oil market in Fujian Province. The Company has supplied over 40 mil ton processed oil in Fujian Province by the end of 2006 and made profit and paid tax totaling RMB 5 bil. The Company has been well recognized by our customers with high quality products and good service.

Upon entering the new century, the Company has followed Sinopec Corp.’s operation policy of “market-oriented and closely organized ” .  Based on marketing philosophy of customer first and doing business in good faith, the Company has endeavored to promote sales and improve its market competitiveness. It has implemented organizational and management reform in order to set up specialized and vertical management system and a quick market response mechanism. The Company has developed and executed HSE system, which is prevailing in modern petroleum and petrochemical enterprises. Sinopec Corp.’s IC Card system, which has been proved efficient and convenient, has been widely used in our service stations, which has upgraded the communication and automatic level of our service stations, logistics, finance and business management. The successful implementation of ERP system in 2006 has further integrated all the resources of the company and provided stable technical support to business operation of the Company. By means of improving overall technical and management standard, the Company has effectively enhanced competitiveness and profitability and achieved great progress.

The company has been awarded the title of “Advanced Organization of Safe Production” by Fujian Provincial Government every year in the past nine years. It has been awarded the title of “Advanced Organization for Safe Production”by Sinopec  group company every year from 2002 to 2006. The Company also acquired the honor of “Enterprises with Best Faith of Fujian Province” in 2003.

In the new year, the Company will adhere to the operation principle of competitiveness, openness and operation guideline of standardization, preciseness and integrity. The Company will endeavor to promote the sales and optimize the structure, to cut the management cost and streamline the business process and improve the operating mechanism. In the same time, the Company will also enhance the performance appraisal system and improve the compensation and benefit system in order to advance operating quality and further upgrade the size and strength of the Company.
