SINOPEC Shanghai Oil Products Company (hereinafter referred to as Shanghai Oil Products Company) is a large marketing enterprise directly under the China Petrochemical Co., Ltd. It was founded in October 1953, formerly known as Shanghai Branch of China Petroleum. In November 1995, Shanghai Petroleum (Group) Co., Ltd. was founded formally. In September 1998, Shanghai Petroleum (Group) Co., Ltd. was included into the China Petrochemical Corp. And in Feb. 2000, in accordance with the Sinopec’s requirements of restructuring, separating, transformation and listing, its main parts were turned into Shanghai Oil Products Company China Petrochemical Co., Ltd.
The company focuses on wholesale, retail, direct marketing distribution and warehousing operations of gasoline, diesel oil, fuel oil, lubricant oil，other oil products and non-oil business including auto repair service, fast food, convenience stores in the gas stations and so on. Its market share is about 70%. At the end of 2010, the company has nearly 600 gas stations, 4 oil depots, and 55.74-kilometer-long oil pipelines and other facilities. A gas station of full-featured services is in addition to the provision of quality oil products and excellent services, and in recent years, the opening of convenience stores, auto services, international brands catering improved the level of services "the interests of people, helping the people, and for the convenience of the citizens ".
