SINOPEC Tianjin Oil Products Company is the direct marketing company under China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation. The business involves the retail, direct sale and wholesale on the oil product, lubricant and fuel oil. The former of the company was Tianjin Petroleum Group Co. Ltd., which was founded in March 1950. In June 1998, it was taken over and under the supervision of Sino Petrochemical Group Company. The company was reformed and changed the name into Tianjin Petroleum Branch of Sino Petrochemical Corporation in April 2000. Through the management system reform completed in October 2004, it applies the new management system of one-level management, one-level accounting, flat management and professional operation.

Through the efforts for years, the company has established the sales network and service system equipped with perfect facilities in a reasonable distribution countrywide. It makes the company become the biggest oil product supplier in Tianjin. By the end of 2007, the assets total 2.643 billion RMB, including 2.003 billion RMB for non current assets; there are more than 480 fuel stations and 4 oil depots with about 210,000 cubic meter of total volume.

The company commits itself to providing the consumer with the premier cleaning energy with the sufficient quantity, aiming at serving Tianjin economic development at all times. The company encountered last year the severe international and domestic situations which were high price abroad and tight resource of oil product at home. Especially after the late October, the diesel supply was insufficient. Under this circumstance, the company put 2.22 million tons of oil products into the market accounting for 70% of total oil consumption with the business return of 12.4 billion RMB. It played a role in maximum of main channel on oil product supply and actively contributed to Tianjin economic development.
