Mr. Liu Zhongli, 73, Independent Non-Executive Director of Sinopec Corp. Mr. Liu graduated from the Training Department of Central Communist Party School (undergraduate course) in July 1982. From July 1982, Mr. Liu served as Deputy Director General and a Member of the Party Committee of the Planning Commission of Heilongjiang Provincial Government. From May 1983, Mr. Liu served as Director General and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Planning Commission (Planning & Economic Commission) of Heilongjiang Provincial Government. From May 1985, Mr. Liu served as Vice Governor of Heilongjiang province. From February 1988, Mr. Liu served as Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Finance and Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of the Ministry of Finance. From July 1990, Mr. Liu served as Deputy Secretary General of the State Council and Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of the State Council. From September 1992, Mr. Liu served as Minister of Finance and Secretary of Party Committee of the Ministry of Finance. From February 1994, Mr. Liu held a concurrent position as the Director General of State Administration of Taxation. From March 1998, Mr. Liu served as the Head of Economic System Reform Office of the State Council and Secretary of Party Committee of the Economic System Reform Office of the State Council. From August 2000, Mr. Liu served as the Chairman of National Council for Social Security Fund and Secretary of Party Committee of the National Council for Social Security Fund. From March 2003, Mr. Liu served as a member of the Standing Committee of the 10th Session of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Director General of the Economics Committee of CPPCC. From October 2004, he held a concurrent position as Chairman of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Liu was elected as Independent Non-Executive Director of the Third Session of the Board of Directors of Sinopec Corp in May 2006.
