Mr. Zhou Yuan, 60, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sinopec Corp., Vice President of Sinopec Group. Mr. Zhou graduated from East China Petroleum Institute in September 1975. He is a professor-level senior economist. From April 1986, Mr. Zhou acted as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Xinjiang Petroleum Administration Bureau (Kelamayi City) and Secretary of the CPC Party Committee of South Xinjiang Petroleum Exploration Company. From March 1989, Mr. Zhou served as Deputy Director, Deputy Secretary and Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of the CPC Party Committee of Tarim Exploration and Development Steering Committee. From August 1990, Mr. Zhou served as Deputy Secretary and Head of the Political and Legislative Affairs Committee of the CPC Party Committee of Xinjiang Petroleum Exploration Corporation (Kelamayi City). From January 1992, Mr. Zhou served as Deputy Head of Organization Department of the CPC Party Committee of Xinjiang Autonomous Region. From December 1993, Mr. Zhou served as a Standing Member of the Party Discipline Committee and the Deputy Head of the Party Organization Department of Xinjiang Autonomous Region. From January 1998, Mr. Zhou served as a Standing Member of the Party Disciplinary Committee of Xinjiang Autonomous Region and Secretary to the CPC Party Committee of Yili Autonomous District. From November 1999, Mr. Zhou served as a Standing Member and Head of the Organization Department of Xinjiang Autonomous Region. From July 2004, Mr. Zhou served as Vice President and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Party Committee of Sinopec Group. From March 2008, Mr. Zhou was elected as a member of the 11th Session of NPC's Environment Protection and Resources Conservation Committee. Mr. Zhou was elected as Director and Vice Chairman of the Third Session of the Board of Directors of Sinopec Corp. in May 2006.
