Sinopec Corp. & McDonald's Strategic Alliance Agreement was signed in June 2006 to set up 'Drive-Thru' restaurants at Sinopec Corp. gas stations, satisfying customers' different needs, improving services and enhancing brand-building. The two companies exchange in depth, learn from each other to improve management and services, and set a good example of cooperation between two Fortune Global 500 companies. The cooperation with McDonald's helps to create a new station service model and plays an important role in promoting non-oil products business development of Sinopec Corp.'s retail station.

Sinopec Shell (Jiangsu) Petroleum Marketing Co., Ltd is the first Sino-foreign venture for oil products retail business approved by China's State Council and was established in August 2004. Headquartered in Nanjing and with its operations center in Suzhou, the joint venture plans to run 500 retail stations in China's most robust and fastest growing market (Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou) with strong support from two parent companies (both are ranked in Fortune Global 500) in abundant station management methodology, experience and technologies. By the end of 2007, the joint venture's retail network has already developed up to 419 stations and kept growing, which ensured the demand of local oil products retail market. The joint venture activities cover oil products retail, such as gasoline, kerosene, diesel, lubricants, antifreeze, additives, etc., c-stores, and other car-related services such as car wash, lubricants replacement, auto care, auto parts, food, etc. The joint venture is also in research, development and application of retail stations operations and management technologies, and provides technology consulting services in oil products retail.
Sinopec BP (Zhejiang) Petroleum Co., Ltd £¨put into operation on Jan. 1st, 2005£©was created by Sinopec and BP to build, operate and manage service stations with a registered capital of RMB 800 million. Headquartered in Hangzhou, the joint venture now manages 300 stations and 60 c-stores in Ningbo and Shaoxing. The joint venture will pursue excellent HSE performance and high-quality customer services. While supplying oil products, the joint venture will also develop c-stores, fast food, lubricants replacement, and auto care businesses. Through professional training and unified process, the joint venture ensures each and every customer at the stations enjoy safe, high standard and premium quality products and services. 
Sinopec SenMei (Fujian) Petroleum Co., Ltd., established by Sinopec Corp., ExxonMobil China Petroleum & Petrochemical Co. Ltd. and Saudi Aramco Sino Co. Ltd., is the first Sino-foreign joint venture with integrated refining production and marketing business, which has been put into operation in July 2007. At its initial operation period, the venture will set up 9 municipal branches in Fujian Province managing and operating about 750 retail stations and 7 oil depots. The main business scope of the Company includes wholesale, retail, storage, transfer and transportation of refined oil products, lubricants and other oil products; c-store management, car wash, lubricants replacement, catering and other auxiliary services; technological support, management, engineering and relevant equipment services for retail station and oil depot as well as retail station franchise business, etc.

Automobile Partners

The Company not only provides outstanding services to China’s auto industry, a mainstay industry of the national economy, but also helps international motor manufacturers to enter the Chinese market through the supply of high quality petrochemical products. The company contributes to making China a key automobile manufacturing base in the global auto industry.
The cooperation between Sinopec and auto enterprises starts from fuel and lubricants supply, and then advances into a full-spectrum collaboration in petrochemical products and technologies.
Aiming at the development of the auto industry, the Company takes the lead in supplying National ¢ô standard vehicle fuel, which was recognized by extensive consumers and auto manufacturers. The Great Wall lubricant is technologically certificated by many world-famous motor manufacturers such as Daimler-Chrysler, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Cummins, etc.
The Company’s Great Wall lubricant, as the leading brand in China’s lubricant industry, continuously supplies high quality lubricants to many domestic auto manufacturers such as China FAW Group Corp., Dongfeng Motor Corp., etc., and establishes productive technological collaboration. The full scale strategic cooperation with Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd. sets a successful example of mutual development and win-win situation between the lubricant industry and the auto industry.
The Company’s Great Wall lubricant also keeps smooth cooperation relations with international auto manufacturers such as Shanghai GM, Guangzhou Toyota, etc. Sinopec Lubricant Company is Toyota’s sixth global supplier and first Chinese supplier. With its products used in Beijing Hyundai, Beijing Nissan, Beijing Benz, etc, and chosen by more and more international auto manufacturers, the Company has become a comprehensive lubricant supplier to US, European, Japanese, Korean and domestic automobile manufacturers. The Company not only enters the initial filling process for those auto manufacturers, but also extensively is involved in after-sales service.
In recent years, Sinopec Lubricant Company has developed fruitful collaboration with many domestic engine and motor manufacturers including Sinotruk, Weichai Power, Geely Holding Group, Dongfeng Dana Axle Co. Ltd., Dadi Auto, Hefei Changhe Motor Co., Ltd., Honda Jialing, etc.
In 2007, the Company established strategic partnership with Chery and held technology seminars with Shanghai GM to elevate the cooperation framework.
The Company and its auto partners can bring together complementary strengths and expertise in respective fields including brands, technology services and marketing networks, therefore further improve corporate images and competitiveness, and promote healthy development of cooperative parties. Sinopec’s support in relevant products and technologies and motor manufacturers’ guidance in technological development will play a critical role in both sides’ technology innovation. Such win-win situation will bring Chinese car users better products and services as well. Resource sharing, mutual progress and development of the Company and the auto industry will contribute more to the growth of the national economy.

Space Science Partners

The Company’s critical role and contribution to China’s space science has been widely acknowledged by the public. The Great Wall lubricant of the Company is one of the few brands in the world that could meet the requirement in space science. The application of relevant lubricants started in 1970s when China launched its nuclear bomb, hydrogen bomb and its first man-made satellite. Consequent applications include premium lubricants for the Long March series Rockets and Shenzhou series Spaceships.

The significant contributions in more than four decades won numerous awards from relevant government ministries. The Company is invited to ceremonies after each breakthrough in China’s space science and travel by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, together with other affiliated research and manufacturing subsidiaries. In 2005, the Company signed a cooperation agreement with China Space Foundation and Sinopec Lubricant Company was awarded titles as ‘China Aviation Partner’, ‘China Aviation Sponsor’, while the Great Wall Lubricant was officially entitled ‘Designated Product for China Aviation’.
To ensure a forward-looking development of China’s space-use lubricants, and better serve China’s space science, Sinopec Lubricant Company intensified cooperation with R&D institutions of space technology and maintained close contact with relevant organizations. In November 2007, the Company set up a joint laboratory with Beihang University, an affiliate to China’s Commission of Science Technology and Industry for National Defense, focusing on R&D topics for equipment for future moon prove mission.
The fabrication enterprises for related space equipments made a significant contribution for China’s space science development. The Company collaborates with such enterprises to identify specific needs for lubricants, improving products applicability and performance.
