Code of Conduct

The Company's Code of Conduct (Code) was issued and took effect on 1 January 2008.

The Code consists of 8 parts.
Part One: President' Address gives an overview of the Company and highlights the significance of the Code.
Part Two: Introduction explains its binding force and applicability, its relationship with other corporate rules and policies, consequences of Code violation, and reporting and consulting channels in time of violation of the Code.
Part Three: Ethics Compliance raises fundamental requirements in professional ethics on all employees, i.e. loyalty to the Company, integrity, commitment, policy compliance, and public ethics standards.
Part Four: Business Conduct governs workplace discipline, employee relationship, training, use of company resources, business activity, conflict of interest, and self-discipline.
Part Five: Workplace Behavior defines workplace dressing codes, office etiquette and proper use of language.
Part Six: HSE Requirements sets forth HSE guidelines, targets and responsibilities.
Part Seven: Confidentiality regulates intellectual property protection, information disclosure and IT security.
Part Eight: Appendix is about the amendment of the Code, along with 48 questions and answers about the Code.

Employee Training and Development

The Company believes that its people are the primary source and wealth for its sustained growth. The Company strives for maximized enterprise value and full development in its people, intensifying human resources development and providing systematic training for all staff.

The Company incorporates staff training and development into corporate planning and develops training implementation plan. The headquarters and the subsidiaries design and implement annual training programs to meet different needs. The headquarters focus on training for senior management members, high-level professionals and operators while subsidiaries are responsible for the training of other personnel within the enterprise.

The Company stresses on building teams and subsidiaries with continuous learning capability, providing training throughout the career of its employees. It is employees' rights and responsibility to receive education and training at different stage of their career, including orientation, business knowledge and skills training, job qualification training and target-specific training. The Company also sends outstanding staff to universities and institutions home and abroad for training and exchanges.

The Company emphasizes on practical and effective training to benefit the employees, creating every opportunity for training, and diversifying training methods and courses. The Company also encourages self-learning by the employees, so that our staff could better fit in their jobs.
